  • The actual process is relatively straightforward: you’re connecting the headboard to the bed frame, like adding two and two.

After you’ve identified the appropriate headboard bolts to support a frame-mounted headboard, follow these simple steps, and you’ll have your headboard up in no time.

    1. Shift your bed away from the wall so you have room for the next steps.

    2. Position the headboard against the bed frame with the finished side facing the bed.

    3. Centre the headboard struts in line with the bed frame so the struts align with at least two of the bolt holes.

    4. Lift the headboard to the correct height, either by enlisting the help of a friend or by using a stack of books as makeshift support.

    5. If you don’t have an assistant on hand, use another piece of furniture to hold the headboard upright against the bed frame.

    6. Find a washer and bolt, which will be included with your headboard when choosing the bed frame mounted option.

    7. Insert the bolt through the bracket and the aligned headboard strut.

    8. Slip a washer onto the bolt if it extends beyond the other side of the strut until it’s nice and snug.

    9. Repeat this process with the remaining headboard bolts.

    10. Periodically examine that the headboard is still centred with the bed base as you use the remaining bolts.

    11. Tighten the headboard bolts as a final safety measure.

  • If you are in any doubt you should get a qualified fitter or handyman to fix your headboard. They will be able to advise if the fittings we have supplied with your wall-mounted option are suitable for the wall that you intend to fix your headboard to.

These headboard fixings will fit 97% of all UK standard divan beds, no matter the size. They screw into the existing internal screw hole within the timber frame of a divan base. Complete with plastic cap washers to help hold the headboard securely and upright. These headboard bolts can be tightened with a screwdriver or even a coin for added convenience.

Have you ever wondered how a headboard is fixed to the wall invisibly? These brackets are totally invisible once the headboard is in place. Not only that, they are incredibly strong, as long as your screws are securely fitted into the wall. There are two parts to each bracket – one side fixes to the wall and the other to the headboard. Simply slide the headboard down into place.

CHOOSING A BASE FOR YOUR MATTRESS COMES DOWN TO PERSONAL CHOICE. THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR TO CONSIDER IS WHETHER THE MATTRESS AND BASE ARE SUITABLE FOR USE TOGETHER.

  1. SOLID BASE (DESIGNED TO WORK WITH ANY MATTRESS)
IF YOUR MATTRESS IS OVER 20CM, WE WOULD RECOMMEND THIS OPTION. THIS OPTION ARRIVES WITH A SPLIT BASE AND REQUIRES EASY SELF-ASSEMBLY (ONE PERSON REQUIRED).

  2. SLATTED BASE
IF YOUR MATTRESS IS UNDER 20CM, WE WOULD RECOMMEND THIS OPTION. THIS OPTION ARRIVES FLAT-PACKED AND REQUIRES INTERMEDIATE SELF-ASSEMBLY (TWO PEOPLE REQUIRED).
