Behind The Scenes: Designing The Clockhouse
It’s an exciting time at Studio Gabrielle - with a brand new and distinctive project in the office, The Clockhouse. The brief really is carte blanche, which is such a treat for us (as you can imagine). All the brief specifies is a desire for a pared-back space with warmth and an emphasis on high-quality materials. With this in mind, we would love to share this project journey with you all the way from concept to completion, especially as the client is keen to embrace everything the Studio Gabrielle brand embodies.
So let’s start at the beginning, the concept stage. Here is the Look and Feel board that we have created for The Clockhouse.
We’d love to know what you think.
Marble Stool — Michaël Verheyden.
Cane Lounger Chair — The Curious.
The Tired Man — by Lassen.
Hoffmann Side Chair— Josef Hoffmann.
Retreat Sofa — Fogia.

A STYLIST'S GUIDE: EDITORIAL PHOTOSHOOT #BEHINDTHESCENES
We were recently asked to style an editorial campaign for Curious Productions, produced for an online photo printing company. The brief was to create a light and bright scheme with colour references of blush and mint for the aspirational living of a woman in her 40's. Once we had the client brief, we began to work on colour and composition references (see below) to present back to the client, then it was onto sourcing (the part we love the most).
A STYLIST'S GUIDE: SCANDINAVIAN MINIMALISM
We investigate the growing trend for Scandinavian Minimalism, enlisting the insight of some experts in the field to discover whether it's possible to achieve the lux aesthetic on a budget.
Scandinavian style stands for simple, calm and pure expression. This makes it easy to grasp, very photogenic and ultimately, attainable for all. But is it affordable for all? Many might associate this look with designer brands and high price tags, but thankfully for those of us who strive style but are on a tight budget, both well-known and independent brands have adopted the trend in order to offer timeless design to the mass market.
